Fleet Faithful,
What a great season for our men's soccer team! Despite a heartbreaking 2-1 loss to Limestone in the Conference Carolinas Championship, the Fleet men recorded a remarkable season. Seven straight conference wins led them to the title match. Warren Turner garnered the "Coach of the Year" honor while senior midfielder Dario Pavan was named 1st Team All-Conference. Vincente Martinez Belloso and Alex Pico made 2nd team, while freshman Vincent Stulec was named to the 3rd Team. Congrats to this whole team, they were a joy to watch and are Conference Carolinas runner-ups for 2019.

The women's soccer team won the NCCAA South Region this past weekend and advanced to the national tournament in Kissimmee, Florida. the first week in December. Our women's volleyball team will try to win the South Region of the NCCAA on Thursday in Winston-Salem, NC. Our cross country teams competed in the NCCAA national championship at the College of the Ozarks (Missouri) this past Saturday. Freshman Lizzie Naval highlighted a sensational campaign by earning All-American honors. Naval joined junior golfer Anna Parramore and entire men's golf team as NCCAA All-Americans this fall. Erskine Athletics has definitely been enhanced by membership in the NCCAA over the past two years. We now three national championships and four regional titles under our belt.

Men's basketball will be in competition at home on Wednesday night against arch-rival Anderson University. The Fleet have yet to earn a point this fall against the Trojans in the coveted Beville Cup race. Looking forward to having our men's basketball team capture that first point Wednesday night.

We are 291 days from the first football kick-off on September 5th so it is not too early to begin supporting the Fleet football program. Consider becoming a Dode Phillips Booster Club member today! We want you to be part of this exciting time in Fleet Athletics. Many have asked where we will play that first game. I can tell you we have a January 1 deadline to make that final decision. We are looking forward to making that announcement at the start of 2020.
