HOW IT HAPPENED
The Fleet started the match on the strong foot, generating a number of chances in the first 10 to 15 minutes of the match, but the game remained scoreless. Erskine and NGU played to a fairly even remainder of the first half, but it was the Fleet who opened the scoring. In the 38th minute, a clearance from the Fleet in defense led to a bouncing ball toward the North Greenville back line. Rebekah Wiles applied pressure and chased willingly after the loose ball, which forced a mistake and sprung Wiles clean through on goal. The junior calmly got her head up and lofted the ball over the Trailblazers' goalie and into the back of the net to give Erskine a 1-0 lead at the break. North Greenville threatened through most of the second half, but the Fleet did well out of possession to limit the visitors to mostly just long-range shots. Then, in the 89th minute, Jordan Schuhlein won a free kick in the Fleet's attacking half, and Wiles promptly stepped up to deliver the dagger. Instead of going to a corner or chipping the ball in the box, Wiles lifted a dangerous ball straight to the back post, where it nestled in the far side netting to double Erskine's lead and put the finishing touches on a 2-0 victory.

THE PLAYER
Junior midfielder Rebekah Wiles scored both Erskine goals, including a beautiful free kick in the final seconds that sealed the win. Wiles made her 10th start of the season on Saturday and logged 75 minutes in midfield in the Fleet's victory.

FROM COACH HUTTO
"The players did a great job of executing the game plan for the full 90 minutes. We stayed organized, worked hard defensively and did a great job finding the back of the net. We are proud of the result and look forward to another conference matchup on Tuesday."

WHAT'S NEXT?
Erskine makes its final road trip of the regular season, when the Fleet visit Southern Wesleyan University (3-7-2, 3-4-2 CC) on Tuesday at 5 p.m.
