HOW IT HAPPENED
Taking on a nationally-ranked unbeaten opponent on Saturday, the Fleet defended valiantly, limiting FMU chances throughout the first half, and four saves from Braeden Johnson in the opening period kept the game scoreless at the break. The visitors broke through in the 55th minute but the Fleet continued to hold their own and stayed within a goal until the final minutes when the Patriots pulled away.

FROM COACH HUTTO
"We are incredibly proud of the team for trusting each other and fighting like they did! We have made incredible progress and the score achieved in the last seven minutes is not a reflection of the performance we gave!"

WHAT'S NEXT?
Erskine begins its final week of the regular season on Tuesday, when the Fleet take on Young Harris College (7-5-3, 6-2-3 CC) at 1 p.m back at Lundy Field.
