Box Score Brevard, NC – The Erskine Men's Soccer Team lost in double overtime to Brevard College 2 to 1 this evening at the Brevard Soccer Field in non-conference men's soccer action. The loss drops the Fleet to 0-2 on the season.
Rhem Stubbs came off the bench to score both goals for Brevard. Stubbs notched his first goal in the fortieth minute off a pass from teammate Ryan McPhillips. McPhillips found Stubbs in front of the goal who one-timed the ball just past the Erskine diving goalkeeper,

The Fleet responded immediately, scoring the tying goal within thirty seconds.
Peter Savarese (Summerville, SC, Pinewood Preparatory School) fed
Jonathan Rutter (Birmingham, England, Fairfax), who rifled the ball from 30 yards out past the Brevard goalkeeper Heath Turner.
The game remained tied until the 116
th minute when Stubbs scored his second goal on a header off a free kick.
Corcoran, who made his first collegiate start tonight, allowed two goals on 17 shots while recording three saves.
Turner had a big night in the net for Brevard, facing 22 shots and tallying 12 saves in the victory.
Erskine will look to snap their two-game losing skid next weekend when they face University of North Georgia on Friday then play Clayton State University on Saturday. Both games will be played in Morrow, Georgia, on the campus of Clayton State University.
