Box Score Greenwood, S.C. – The Erskine Men's Soccer Team played #11 Lander University, the nation's top scoring team, to a 0-0 tie last night in non-conference men's soccer action at the Jeff May Complex.

Although Lander (3-0-1) outshot Erskine (1-3-1) 22 to 7, the Bearcats could only place seven shots on goal due to the Erskine defensive pressure.  Erskine goalkeeper Roberto De La Vina (Oviedo, Spain, San Ignacio) handled those shots, recording 7 saves on the night.

Lander goalkeeper Barrett Nielsen had four saves in extending his scoreless streak.  Nielsen has yet to surrender a goal this season.

The Flying Fleet will open conference play on the road this Saturday against the Bulldogs of Barton College.  Kick-off is set for 7:00 p.m.
