Box Score Due West, S.C. – Mt. Olive College scored a goal in each period to beat the Erskine Flying Fleet 2-0 this afternoon in Conference Carolinas women's soccer action at Huggins Field.

The Trojans (3-9-2, 1-6-1) took a 1-0 lead into intermission despite being outshot by the Fleet 5-3. The Trojan goal came right before time expired as Jaclyn Thomas passed the ball across the front of the goal to teammate Lauren Power, who sent it back across the face of the goal just entering inside the far post.

In the second half, the Trojans got their insurance goal in the 61^st minute when Erskine goalkeeper Ashton Burgess was called for a foul in the penalty box for taking down the Mt. Olive player. Christine Rocchio scored on the ensuing penalty kick.

Erskine (1-12, 1-5) had seven shots on the day while Mt. Olive tallied eleven shots.

Erskine hosts Pfeiffer University next Saturday for Homecoming. Kick-off is set for 2:00 p.m.
