THE SERIES
Erskine and Carolina University have met just once in an official regular season contest. A 7-1 victory for Erskine last season.
Â
THE MATCH
In the case of a weather shortened event or power failure, the NCAA recognizes an official match only after 70 minutes have been played. Tonight's match was stopped in the 66th minute forcing the NCCAA to decide if both teams advance to the its national tournament in two weeks or if the final 24 minutes of the match must be made up.
WHAT THE RESULT MEANS
For now, the Fleet remain 1-1 during their 2020-21 fall campaign with a bid to the NCCAA National tournament in the balance.
Â
WHAT'S NEXT?
The NCCAA meets tomorrow evening to decide if the match's final minutes need to be completed.
Â
If the contest requires completion, the two teams would finish the match at Erskine on Tuesday.
