HOW IT HAPPENED
In the Fleet's final home game of the 2026 regular season, Erskine came flying out of the gates and were rewarded with a fourth-minute goal by freshman
Alexa Harrison, her first collegiate goal to give Erskine an early 1-0 lead. However, Converse responded with an equalizer in the 18th minute and took its first lead in the 40th minute, meaning the Fleet went into the break trailing 2-1. The Fleet defended well to begin the second half and three saves from
Valentina Santana kept Erskine within a goal, but the Fleet struggled to create scoring chances to draw level. In the 71st minute, the Valkyries extended their lead and added a fourth a few minutes later.
WHAT'S NEXT?
Erskine finishes the regular season at Emmanuel University (3-8-4, 3-5-3 CC) on Saturday at 1 p.m. The Fleet and Lions played to a 2-2 draw in Due West earlier this month.
