Jamie Morris (Columbia, SC, Blythewood High School) tallied her second goal of the season but Erskine lost to Brevard 2 to 1 in non-conference women's soccer action at the Brevard Soccer Field.
Brevard got two goals from Yuki Soga. Her first goal came in the twenty-second minute to put Brevard up 1-0. Soga followed her teammate's shot to the goal and tapped the rebound into the net. She put Brevard up 2 to 1 off a corner kick early in the second half.
Erskine's Morris tied the game at one a piece late in the first half. Sophomore
Hayley Rogers (West Columbia, SC, Lexington High School) feed Morris who blasted the shot from just inside the 28 over the top of the goalkeeper. Morris has scored a goal in both of the Fleet's games this season.
After surrendering the go-ahead goal, the Fleet's best chance to tie the game came in the final minute when Morris' shot off a corner kick sailed wide of the goal.
Brevard outshot Erskine 14 to 8 but, more importantly, the Fleet only placed two of those shots on goal.

Ashton Burgess (Greenwood, SC, Emerald High School) yielded the two goals on 14 shots while recording five saves. The Fleet did not put much pressure on the Brevard goalkeeper, Brittany Webster, who allowed the lone goal and did not record a save.
Erskine takes to the pitch against local rival Lander University next Saturday. Kick-off is set for 4:30 p.m.
