BANNER ELK, N.C. – The Erskine College women's soccer team (1-7, 1-5 CC) was defeated by Lees-McRae College (5-1-2, 4-0-2 CC) by a score of 3-0 at Tate Field on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
A fifth-minute goal gave the Bobcats an early lead and forced the Fleet to play from behind throughout most of the afternoon. LMC doubled its lead in the 20th minute, but the Fleet responded well and
Hannah DeVincent fired a shot on target in the 32nd minute that was saved. The game went to halftime at that 2-0 scoreline and remained until the Bobcats scored the game's third and final goal in the 63rd minute. Freshman goalkeeper
Kennedy Rasmussen earned her first collegiate start on Saturday and made 11 saves in her first action in between the sticks for the Fleet.
WHAT'S NEXT?
Erskine goes to Young Harris College (7-3, 6-1 CC) on Wednesday at 4 p.m. for the second and final meeting with the Mountain Lions in the regular season.
