HOW IT HAPPENED
A 10th-minute goal gave the Mountain Lions an early lead and the Fleet were pegged back again in the 22nd minute, but after a slow start, Erskine responded incredibly well and began creating opportunities in the second half. In the 81st minute, the Fleet were rewarded as
Evelyn Melnick scored her first collegiate goal and got Erskine back within a goal for the closing stages. However, as the Fleet continued to ramp up its push for a tying goal, Young Harris scored the game's third and final goal in the 88th minute in a valiant road effort by the Fleet against the team atop the Southwest Division in Conference Carolinas.
WHAT'S NEXT?
Erskine returns home to take on UNC Pembroke (5-1-4, 4-0-3 CC) on Saturday at 11:30 a.m.
