Box Score Due West, S.C. – After playing the first half to a scoreless tie, the Erskine defense broke down allowing five second half goals to archrival Anderson University in non-conference women's soccer action at Huggins Field tonight.
While Anderson had thirteen shots in the first half, the Erskine defense hurried and forced the shots well outside the box.
Within three minutes of starting the second half, Anderson's Krystal Goss broke the scoreless tie as her corner kick sailed over the Erskine goalkeeper's head catching the far post. The Fleet surrendered two more quick goals as the Trojans finally broke through the Erskine defensive line. Anderson added two more goals, including one in the final minute, to win the game 5-0.

Ashton Burgess (Greenwood, SC, Emerald High School) recorded 11 saves, including two splendid diving grabs in the second half.
The win also gives Anderson another point in the Beville Cup series and now leads 2-0.
Erskine takes to the pitch again tomorrow afternoon against USC-Beaufort. Kick-off is set for 4:00 p.m.
