Box Score Due West, S.C. – King University defeated Erskine 3-0 tonight in Conference Carolinas women's soccer action at Huggins Field.

King broke the scoreless tie late in the first half when Devon Shanklin passed the bDevon Shanklin passed the ball between two Erskine defenders that caught Rachel Thorpe in stride.  Thorpe slipped the ball into the near corner just out of the reach of the Erskine goalkeeper Ashton Burgess (Greenwood, SC, Emerald High School).

King added two more goals in the second half to seal the victory.

Burgess had another double-digit save game with 10 and easily leads the conference with 94 saves on the season.

Erskine hosts Converse College this Saturday.  Game time is set for 2:00 p.m.
