Box Score Due West, S.C. – The Erskine Flying Fleet lost to the Falcons of Pfeiffer University 6-1 this afternoon in Conference Carolinas women's soccer action at Huggins Field.
Pfeiffer controlled the action throughout the game, scoring two goals in the opening period and adding four more in the second half. Erskine scored their lone goal late in the second period.
Pfeiffer's Kaitlin Sampson tallied the first goal in the 34
th minute off a free kick just outside the penalty box. Pfeiffer added their insurance goal right before the half. Katlyn Stevens blasted a perfectly placed shot from the left side just inside the upper far corner.
The second half featured five goals scored within a fourteen minute span. Pfeiffer's Miracle Sampson scored two goals and assisted on another.

Katherine Coleman (Martinez, GA, Lakeside High School) scored on the Fleet's lone shot of the afternoon off a pass from teammate
Jamie Morris (Columbia, SC, Blythewood High School).
The Falcons outshot the Fleet 21-1 and held an 8-1 advantage in corner kicks.
Erskine has two games remaining in their season. Erskine will travel to North Greenville this Wednesday before returning home next Saturday to host Limestone.
