Box Score Hartsville, S.C. – Erskine surrendered two first half goals to lose to in-state conference rival Coker College 2-0 in women’s soccer action.

Coker scored both goals within the first fifteen minutes of play.  The first goal came in the first minute as Jalynn Fortt slipped past the defense to score the first goal.  Thirteen minutes later, Coker’s Bailey Van Order blasted a shot from outside the box into the right corner.

Erskine managed 9 shots on the night placing 5 shots on goal but failed to score as the Coker goalkeeper Lizz Morris stopped each one.

Erskine’s goalkeeper Ashton Burgess faced 18 shots on the night, saving 7 while allowing the two goals.

With the loss Erskine slips to 3-8-1 overall and 3-5 in conference.  It is the fifth consecutive loss for the Fleet.

Erskine travels to King College on Wednesday.  Game time is set for 1:00 p.m.
