Hartsville, SC – Freshman Casey Craft scored two first half goals lifting Erskine past Coker 2 to 0 in Conference Carolinas women’s soccer action. With the win, the Fleet secure a berth in the Conference Carolinas postseason tournament. The Fleet climb to 5-10 overall and 3-5 in conference while the Coker Cobras drop to 1-12-1 and 1-7-1 in conference.
Craft (Anderson, SC, T.L. Hanna High School) scored her first goal in the 11th minute with a blast just outside the 18 yard box. Craft gave the Fleet an insurance goal twenty minutes later when she headed a loose ball inside the 6 yard box past the Coker goalkeeper. The goals were Craft’s 3rd and 4th of the season.
Erskine goalkeeper Si'Ara Washington (Mt. Pleasant, SC, Academic Magnet High School) had an easy day in the goal as the Fleet defense limited Coker to just three shots, none on goal.
Erskine plays their last home game this Tuesday against Lees-McRae College at 5:30 p.m.
