DUE WEST, S.C. –  Erskine Football has announced schedule changes for the start of the upcoming 2025 season, as the Fleet will now begin the year on the road against Anderson.
The Fleet and Trojans will open the campaign with their first football edition of the battle for the Beville Cup on Saturday, September 6 at 1 p.m. at Anderson's Melvin & Dollie Younts Stadium. With Erskine reviving its program in 2021 and Anderson coming off its first year as a football program in 2024, the teams will meet on the gridiron for the first time this fall.
"Erskine and Anderson playing football against each other just seems right," Erskine Director of Athletics
Mark Peeler said. "I think it will be an awesome environment that will reignite the athletic rivalry that our two schools had for so many years when both schools were part of Conference Carolinas."
The Flying Fleet will remain on the road the following three weekends of September before returning home on October 4 against UNC Pembroke, as part of the inaugural season of football in Conference Carolinas in 2025.
