GREENVILLE, S.C. - Junior Christian Rivera has been chosen as one of the weekly award winners for Conference Carolinas baseball for the week ending March 26, 2023.
 
A native of Winter Haven, Florida, Rivera closed out Erskine's three conference wins last week hitting .600 (6-of-10) with 10 RBIs and seven runs scored. Rivera slugged 1.900 on the week and had an on-base percentage of .643. Rivera homered in all three games in Erskine's series with Chowan, including hitting two in the series finale. He had five extra-base hits on the week with four home runs and one double. Rivera is presently fifth in Conference Carolinas in OPS (1.248). He is tied for the league lead in home runs on the season with 11.

Rivera is joined by North Greenville's Reece Fields, who was named Pitcher of the Week, as weekly award winners in the conference. Rivera is the second consecutive player from the Flying Fleet to be named Conference Carolinas Player of the Week, joining Dale Francis, Jr. who won the award last week.
