High Point, NC – Erskine College men's basketball player Austin Venable has been named Conference Carolinas Player of the Week the conference office announced Monday morning. 
 
Austin had a huge week for the Fleet, helping his team improve their seeding for the upcoming conference championship.  On Wednesday he would score a career high 37 points against Lees-McRae.  He would then follow that up with 18 points in a 98-92 win over Limestone to move the Fleet into fifth place in the conference.  He would also score his 1,000-career point with his first basket of the game.  For the week Austin averaged 27.5 points and seven rebounds.
