Banner Elk, N.C - The Erskine Men's volleyball team bounced back from recent conference loss to defeat Lees-McRae in 3 straight sets (25-18, 25-14, 25-17).

"Tonight we came through with solid execution and confident play.  The team stayed focused the whole time with lots of team members contributing to tonight's win," stated Senior libero, Michael Schneck as he summarized the match. 

The Fleet had a great offensive night swinging .529 with 44 kills.  The offense and defense was led by Roberto Perez Vargas who had an impressive 15 kills on only 18 attempts for a hitting percentage of .778 and added a team high of 7 digs.  Michael Michelau made a huge impact at the net with 10 kills on only 12 attempts, hitting .833 for the match. 

The outsides were unstoppable with a combined had 25 kills, 1 error on 30 attempts, hitting .800 combined. 

Neal Stanley and Omar Melendez added 9 and 6 kills respectively.  David Grandy dished out 24 assists while Alex Brandstetter had 14 assists. 

The Fleet will continue conference play on the road this weekend, playing Limestone Friday night at 7pm and Mount Olive Saturday at 12pm.
