FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. – The Erskine College men's volleyball team (9-13, 5-7 CC) defeated Emmanuel University (10-13, 5-7 CC) in straight sets at the Shaw Athletic Center on Wednesday evening in a match that gave the Fleet's conference tournament hopes a huge boost.

Erskine hit .292 (44 K / 18 E / 89 TA) for the match and held Emmanuel to a .236 hitting percentage. The Fleet were outblocked 7 to 4, but had a 5 to 2 advantage in aces and totaled 16 more kills than the Lions.
THE PLAYER
Tyler Kuehl was one of three Erskine players with 10 kills, and the junior middle blocker did it on just 15 attempts for a scintillating .667 hitting percentage. Kuehl added in a pair of aces and two blocks as well to help lead the Fleet to a redemption win away from home.
WHAT'S NEXT?Â
Erskine visits the University of Mount Olive (13-7, 10-2 CC) on Friday at 7 p.m. The Trojans edged the Fleet in five sets in Due West back in February.
