WILSON, N.C. – The Erskine College men's volleyball team (10-14, 6-8 CC) defeated Barton College (12-15, 6-8 CC) in straight sets at Wilson Gymnasium on Saturday as the Fleet ended the regular season with three straight road victories.
The Fleet were led by
Kellen Prysmiki (12 kills) and
Tyler Kuehl (8 kills, 7 blocks) in a dominant redemption win over the Bulldogs to finish the regular season, but results elsewhere in Conference Carolinas meant Erskine received the short end of tiebreaker rule and narrowly miss out on next week's conference tournament.

Erskine hit an impressive .391 (37 K / 10 E / 69 TA) for the match, while holding Barton in the negatives, with a -.060 hitting percentage, a season-low for Fleet opponents, thanks to eight Erskine blocks.

Despite the win, results elsewhere in Conference Carolinas and tiebreaker rules placed Erskine in the seventh spot in the final conference standings, meaning the Fleet narrowly miss out on qualification for next week's conference tournament.
