Box Score Due West, S.C. – #4 Florida Southern College Mocs (13-2) overwhelmed the Erskine Flying Fleet (1-12) 19 to 4 this afternoon in non-conference women's lacrosse action at Huggins Field.
The Mocs scored two goals in the first minute and the game's first seven goals. Ashley Robertson led the charge with three goals, including the game's first goal.
Erskine's
Samantha Burns (Hilton Head Island, SC, Hilton Head Island High School) scored her first of three goals in the thirteenth minute.
By halftime, Mocs led the Fleet 11 to 1.
Florida Southern had eleven players score in the game, led by Ashley Robertson's 4 goals. Megan Asper contributed 3 goals along with 2 assists while Caitlin Chase finished with a game-high 5 assists and goal.
For the Flying Fleet, Burns added three more goals to her record-setting career total while
Mackenzie Brown (Brentwood, TN, Brentwood High School) had the other goal for Erskine.
Erskine returns to the field next Wednesday, travelling to Franklin Springs, Georgia, to play conference foe Emmanuel College. Game time is set for 4:00 p.m.
