Box Score Due West, S.C. – After knocking off the rust in the first set, the Erskine Flying Fleet (19-5, 15-2) cruised past the Bobcats of Lees-McRae (3-18, 2-15) 3 to 0 (25-23, 25-16, 25-18) this afternoon in Conference Carolinas men's volleyball action at Belk Arena.  Today's match was the first for the Flying Fleet in twelve days. 
After narrowly winning the first set 25 to 23, Erskine ramped up their defensive effort, especially at the net to cruise past LMC in the next two sets. The Fleet challenged the Bobcats at the net in the second and third sets, recording ten of their eleven blocks in the last two sets. 
LMC hit .333 in the first set but the Fleet held the Bobcats to a negative hitting percentage over the last two sets.  On the day, the Bobcats finished with just a .048 hitting percentage compared to the Fleet's .286. 
Middle hitter 
Omar Melendez (San Juan, P.R., Colegio San Ignalio de Loyola) led the Fleet's defensive effort at the net, recording 6 blocks while outside hitter 
Mike Michelau (Trevor, WI, Westosha Central High School) participated in 5 blocks. 
Offensively, Michelau also led the Fleet with 10 kills while fellow outside hitter 
Roberto Perez (Dorado, P.R., Bayamon Military Academy) had 9 kills.  LMC's Brady Markle had 10 kills. 
Erskine wraps up their regular season on the road, playing at Limestone College on Tuesday.  Game time is set for 7:00 p.m.
