Box Score Due West, S.C. – Behind a team-high 18 kills by Mike Michelau (Trevor, WI, Westosha Central High School), the Erskine Flying Fleet (16-4, 12-2) beat the Bobcats of Lees-McRae (2-14, 1-11) 3 to 0 (25-21, 25-21, 25-22) tonight in Conference Carolinas men's volleyball action at Williams Gymnasium.
 
The Fleet's conference-leading offense was on display tonight.  Erskine outhit Lees-McRae in all three sets and had three players finish with double-digit kills.  Erskine hit an impressive .440 compared to LMC's .309.
 
In addition to Michelau's 18 kills, junior Omar Melendez (San Juan, P.R., Colegio San Ignalio de Loyola) had a very efficient night, knocking down 11 kills on 15 attempts while sophomore Roberto Perez (Dorado, P.R., Bayamon Military Academy) finished with 10 kills.  Setter David Grandy (Laguna Hills, CA, Laguna Hills High School) handed out 41 assists and had a co-team-high 5 digs.
 
For the Bobcats, Brady Markle knocked down a game-high 21 kills.
 
Erskine stays on the road travelling to Bristol, Tennessee, to play King University Thursday night starting at 7:00 p.m.
