#10 Mount Olive ends Erskine's season

Box Score Mount Olive, N.C. – The Erskine Flying Fleet's season came to an end Saturday afternoon with an 83 to 55 loss to #10 ranked University of Mount Olive Trojans (27-2) in the quarterfinals of the Conference Carolinas Men's Basketball Championship Tournament at Kornegay Arena.
 
The Trojans scored eight unanswered points to grab a 14 to 4 lead early in the first half.  The Trojans' Kendall Hargrove ignited the run with a steal and dunk and teammate Mike Moore put back two misses to cap the run.  By halftime the Fleet trailed 42 to 20 as the Trojans shot 60% from the floor in the half.
 
The Trojans continued to have the hot hand in the second half, shooting a sizzling 66.7%.  Hargrove led the Trojans with 16 points while both John Wieland and Dominique Reed finished with 11 points.
 
Erskine shot a respectable 38.8% on the night with twelve players scoring on the night.  Senior Isaac Williamson concluded his career with a team-high 10 points.  He also pulled down a team-high 5 rebounds along with 2 assists.
 
The University of Mount Olive as the #1 seed in the tournament will host the Semi-finals and Championship games this Friday and Saturday.
