Box Score Due West, S.C. – The Erskine Flying Fleet (13-3, 9-1) needed five sets but finally prevailed over the visiting King University Tornado (8-7, 6-3) 3 to 2 (25-15, 21-25, 25-16, 23-25, 15-13) this evening in Conference Carolinas men's volleyball action at Belk Arena.
 
Erskine's offense sputtered tonight.  In the three sets the Fleet won, the offense was quite impressive, posting hitting percentages of .286, .682, and .522.  In the two loses, the Fleet hit just .167 and .161.
 
Erskine's Roberto Perez (Dorado, P.R., Bayamon Military Academy) and Mike Michelau (Trevor, WI, Westosha Central High School) led the offensive charge with 31 and 25 kills respectively.  Both players had hitting percentages over .400 on the night.
 
For the Tornado, Eddie Moushikhian knocked down 19 kills.
 
Erskine travels to face fellow conference leader Pfeiffer University this Saturday.  Game time is set for 2:00 p.m.
