Box Score Wilson, N.C. – The Erskine Flying Fleet (8-3, 5-1) rebounded from losing their last two games to beat the Bulldogs of Barton College (4-8, 3-5) 3 to 1 (25-23, 25-20, 21-25, 26-24) tonight in Conference Carolinas men's volleyball action at Wilson Gymnasium.
After being dominated at the net the last two games, the Fleet recorded double-digit blocks and their highest hitting percentage since their third game of the season. The Fleet hit .330 on the night, including .414 in the second set.

Mike Michelau (Trevor, WI, Westosha Central High School) and sophomore
Roberto Perez (Dorado, P.R., Bayamon Military Academy) led the Fleet offensively with 17 kills each. Defensively junior
Mike Kawa (Debica, Poland, Elk Grove High School) led the Fleet with a season-high 8 blocks. Junior
David Grandy (Laguna Hills, CA, Laguna Hills High School), who made his first start at setter, handed out 45 assists along with seven digs and two blocks.
For the Bulldogs, Pierre Tang-Taye knocked down a game-high 20 kills and teammate Chad Stanback, Jr. contributed 13 kills.
The win moved Head Men's Volleyball Coach Cole Tallman to within one of 800 wins in his collegiate coaching career. Coach Tallman and his squad will seek his 800
th win Friday night against the Trojans of the University of Mount Olive.
