Box Score Tampa, Fla. – The University of Tampa (3-7) held off the Erskine Flying Fleet's late charge to win 14 to 10 tonight in non-conference women's lacrosse action at Naimoli Family Field.
Trailing by two at halftime, Erskine (5-4) tied the game at 9 to 9 with a little over eleven minutes left to play. Freshman
Ali Cole (Duluth, GA, Duluth High School) blew past her opponent to blast the ball past the Spartan goalkeeper Wylie Cassidy for her sixth goal of the game.
The Spartans ended the game on a 5 to 1 run to win the game 14 to 10 as Erskine struggled in transition, only effectively clearing the ball from their defensive end 3 out of 10 times in the second half.

Konstandena Brown (Wilmington, NC, John T. Hoggard High School) played a tremendous game between the pipes recording a season-high 17 saves on 38 shots.
Cole had a game-high 6 goals while teammates
Samantha Burns (Hilton Head Island, SC, Hilton Head Island High School) contributed 2 goals and
Kelly Dalziel (Ocean, NJ, Ocean Township High School) and
Marley Llinas (Annapolis, MD, Broadneck Senior High School) had a goal each.
Erskine travels to Rome, Georgia, on Monday to play Shorter College. Game time is set for 5 p.m.
