Greenwood, S.C. – The Erskine Men's Tennis Team (0-6) lost to #7 Lander University Bearcats 9 to 0 this afternoon in non-conference men's tennis action at the Joe Cabri Tennis Center.

Lander quickly grabbed a two point lead winning the #2 and #3 doubles spots 8-0 and 8-1.  At #1 doubles position, Wilson Mathewes (Greenville, SC, Mauldin High School) and Jason Harris (Benoni, South Africa, Christian Brothers College) played hard but eventually fell 8 to 5.

Erskine could not capture any momentum against Lander in the six singles matches.  The Fleet lost all six in straight sets.

After playing their first six matches on the road, Erskine will finally play at home on Wednesday against USC-Aiken.  The match is set to start at 2:30 p.m.
