Box Score Mount Olive, N.C. – Sophomore Naomi Stuger (Marietta, GA, Kell High School) ripped down two offensive rebounds in the final minute to seal a 92 to 87 road victory for the Erskine Flying Fleet (4-4, 2-1) over the Trojans of the University of Mount Olive (2-4, 1-2) tonight in Conference Carolinas women's basketball action at Kornegay Arena.
 
Trailing by five with a minute remaining, the Trojans elected to send the Flying Fleet to the foul line.  The Fleet missed their first two free throw attempts but Stuger grabbed her first of two offensive rebounds.  After dribbling out of the key, Stuger found Ashley Espinosa (Reading, PA, Governor Mifflin High School) cutting to the basket for the layup and a seven point lead.
 
Leading by three with seventeen seconds remaining, Stuger pulled down her second offensive rebound off a missed free throw, forcing Mount Olive to send Erskine back to the free throw line.  This time Erskine's Kristin Giles (Union, SC, Union County High School) converted both attempts for the five point road victory.
 
Giles scored a season-high 23 points to lead five Fleet players who finished in double-figures.  Stuger was one of two Erskine players to earn a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds, including five offensive boards.  Senior Andrienne Bannerman (Wilmington, NC, Pender High School) also had double-double with 17 points and a game-high 14 rebounds.  Espinosa had 20 points while senior Tara Potter (Charlotte, NC, Bandys High School) contributed 13 points.
 
The Trojans' also had five players end in double-digits, led by Ni'ya Styles' 23 points.  Arieal Johnson finished with 22 points and 13 rebounds.
 
Erskine returns home to host Barton College this Saturday.  Game time is set for 2:00 p.m.
