Erskine loses to #10 Mount Olive 78 to 51

Box Score Mount Olive, N.C. – The Erskine Flying Fleet (1-4, 1-2) lost to #10 University of Mount Olive (8-0, 3-0) 78 to 51 tonight in Conference Carolinas men's basketball action at Kornegay Arena. 
 
The Trojans, currently ranked #10 nationally in the D2 Media Poll, opened the game with a 12 to 2 run and never looked back in defeating the Flying Fleet 78 to 51.
 
The Trojans' displayed a balance attack with eleven players scoring, led by a quartet of players contributing a team-high 12 points.  Mike Moore led the Trojans' on the boards with 7 rebounds.
 
Mount Olive capitalized on their front court size and experience to score 44 of their 78 points within the paint.  The Trojans shot a sizzling 53% from the floor.
 
Sophomore Maurice Daniels, Jr. (Spartanburg, SC, Dorman High School) came off the bench to spark the Fleet offensively with a game-high 13 points.  Freshman Ray Lock (Aiken, SC, Oak Hill Academy) contributed 8 points.
 
Erskine hosts Barton this Saturday with tip-off set for 4:00 p.m.
