Box Score Due West, S.C. – The Erskine Flying Fleet (3-5) were clipped on the road tonight 75 to 69 by the Trojans of Anderson University (5-5) in non-conference men's basketball action at the Abney Center.

With time winding down and the game knotted at 60 each, Anderson scored on their next five possessions to secure a nine point lead with thirty seconds remaining.  Erskine's Fineto Lungwana (Roswell, GA, Centennial High School) made two free throws and Aaron Brown (Mt. Pleasant, SC, Wando High School) drilled a three-point shot to complete the Fleet scoring.

Erskine's DeShaun Hall (Inman, SC, Landrum High School) scored a season-high 26 points to lead the Fleet.  Hall also had 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals.  Freshman Ray Lock (Aiken, SC, Oak Hill Academy) contributed 10 points and a team-high 5 rebounds.

Anderson dominated the boards, out rebounding the Fleet 35 to 23.  Anderson used rebounding advantage to tally 19 second-chance points.

Anderson had three players reach double-figures, led by Myson Jones' 25 points.  Chris Ross and Alani Adekambi combined to tally 15 and 14 points while pulling down 8 and 7 rebounds respectively.

Erskine got off to a strong start, grabbing an early eight point lead in the first five minutes of play.  Sophomore Arvel Atwater, Jr. (Capitol Heights, MD, Suitland High School) started the run with a three-point basket and Maurice Daniels, Jr. (Spartanburg, SC, Dorman High School) concluded it with another three-point shot after layups by Lock and Hall.

Anderson overcame the early deficit to take their first lead of the game with just under eight minutes remaining in the opening period.  Atwater again ignited another Fleet run with his second three-point basket of the game and the Fleet surged to a 31 to 26 lead at intermission.

Erskine's season resumes on Wednesday, December 31^st, when the Indians of Catawba College visit Belk Arena.  Tip-off is at 3:00 p.m.
