Due West, S.C. – Conference-leading Erskine College (11-4, 5-1) seeks their seventh straight win this Wednesday against in-state conference rival the Saints of Limestone College (10-6, 2-4). Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m.
The Flying Fleet enter Wednesday's contest having won their last six games in a row, the longest win streak by the Flying Fleet since joining the NCAA Division II ranks back in 1995. The win streak has also moved Erskine into a tie for first place in the conference standings with King University at 5-1. Erskine's last loss came at the hands of King back on December 4
th.
During the streak, Erskine has averaged 80.3 points per game while surrendering just 63.8 points a game. Sophomore
Roderick Perkins (Smyrna, GA, Campbell High School) has keyed the Fleet run averaging over 30 points per game during this six game stretch. Last Saturday against Pfeiffer marked the first time the Fleet have won a game with Perkins scoring less than 20 points.
Limestone, #2 in the preseason coaches' poll, enters Wednesday's contest looking to use home court advantage to snap a two game losing skid having dropped their last two games to King and Barton.
The Saints are led by senior guard P.J. Foster's 19.4 points per game, third best in the conference. In addition to Foster, the Saints have three other players averaging double-digits in scoring. Junior guard Josh Odom is second on the team at 17.3 points per game while teammates Assad Woods and Shaq Dance average 12.9 and 11.1 points respectively.
Senior forward Jamal McNeill leads the team on the boards, averaging 8.4 rebounds per game.
