Box Score Romeoville, Ill. – Erskine lost to #9 Lewis University tonight 3 to 1 in non-conference men's volleyball action at Neil Carey Arena.

For the second night in a row, Erskine demonstrated they could play with one of the nation's top teams.  The Flying Fleet again got off to a slow start, dropping the first set, but bounced back to win the second set before losing the next two.

Erskine had three players finish in double-digit kills, led by sophomore Mike Kawa's game-high 16 kills.  Freshman Roberto Perez Vargas knocked down 15 kills while sophomore Michael Michelau had 12 kills.  Setter Corey Marks had a season-high 48 assists.
Lewis University was led by Will McCall's 13 kills while teammate Patrick Lilly finished with 10 kills.

Erskine travels next weekend to open conference play against Barton and Mt. Olive.  The Fleet will play Barton on Friday starting at 7:00 p.m. and preseason favorite Mt. Olive on Saturday beginning at 2:00 p.m.
