DUE WEST- Erskine Director of Athletics Mark Peeler has appointed Head Baseball Coach Kevin Nichols to the position of Assistant AD for Recruitng and External Operations. Nichols will continue as Erskine's baseball coach. The Alabama native has been the head baseball coach for the past 14 years and this past spring became Erskine's all-time wins leader in baseball. In Nichols new position he will coordinate recruiting efforts of all 15 of Erskine's sports and work directly with the admissions and financial aid office. Nichols will also serve on the college's Recruitment and Retention team. Nichols was awarded the Dr. Gid Alston Award this past spring given to the outstanding staff member of 2012-13.

"Kevin has been an integral part of Erskine Athletics the past 14 years. He has developed an exceptional baseball program with a large roster and is now being asked to expand his responsibility into helping the whole department. He is quite deserving of the title of Assistant AD. I look forward to all he will bring to the table as we take Erskine Athletics to unprecedented heights in the next few years," remarked Peeler.
