Due West, S.C. – The Erskine men’s tennis team dropped their fourth consecutive match this afternoon, losing to Limestone College 9-0 in Conference Carolinas men’s tennis action at the Erskine College Tennis Complex.
All three doubles matches were close but Limestone prevailed in each one, including a nail-biter at #2 doubles that ended 9-8.
Erskine could not regain the momentum in the singles matches, losing all six.
Wilson Mathewes (Greenville, SC, Mauldin High School) saw his personal win streak snapped as he lost his singles match in the tie-breaker third set 10-6.
Dean Harris (Benoni, South Africa, Christian Brothers College)also lost a close match, losing 7-5, 6-4 at #3 singles.
The Fleet will be back on the court tomorrow afternoon against the Falcons of Pfeiffer University. The match is set to begin at 2:30 p.m.
