Box Score Due West, S.C. – Belmont Abbey Crusaders sailed past the Erskine Flying Fleet 18-3 this afternoon in Conference Carolinas women’s lacrosse action at Huggins Field.
Belmont Abbey scored two goals with the game’s first minute and never trailed building a 9-1 lead by halftime. The Crusaders scored 9 goals in the second half while the Fleet put two more on the board.
Kelly Dalziel (Ocean, NJ, Ocean Township High School) and
Samantha Burns (Hilton Head Island, SC, Hilton Head Island High School) led the Fleet offensively. Dalziel scored two goal while Burns scored the other goal and assisted on Dalziel’s two goals.

Konstandena Brown (Wilmington, NC, John T. Hoggard High School) faced a flurry of shots (37 total), recording 10 saves in the process.
The Abbey’s Katy Connery shared game-high honors of 4 goals while handing out 7 assists. MacKenzie Miller also scored 4 goals and assisted on two others.
Erskine plays their last home game this Wednesday night against Lenoir-Rhyne. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m.
