Box Score Gaffney, S.C. – #5 seed Erskine lost to #4 seed Limestone 3 to 1 (21-25, 25-22, 16-25, 21-25) in the first round of the Conference Carolinas Men’s Volleyball Championship Tournament at the Timken Center.

The loss concludes Erskine’s inaugural season at 13-15 overall and 9-7 in conference.

After splitting the first two sets, Limestone tightened their defense to hold the Flying Fleet to just .103 and .053 hitting percentage in the last two sets to win the match 3 to 1.

Erskine’s Mike Michelau (Bristol, WI, Westosha Central High School) knocked down a game-high 19 kills while teammate Mike Kawa (Debica, Poland, Elk Grove High School) earned a double-double with 12 kills and 10 digs. 

Eric Zaun led the Saints with 17 kills and 9 digs.
