Box Score Due West, S.C. - #14 Pfeiffer University sailed past Erskine 20 to 1 this afternoon in Conference Carolinas women’s lacrosse action at Huggins Field.
Pfeiffer (7-0, 2-0) raced out to a 15-0 lead at halftime behind a relentless attack that forced 14 Erskine turnovers and generated 22 shots.
In the second half, both teams slowed down the play with Pfeiffer outshooting Erskine 13 to 7. Pfeiffer scored 7 goals while the Fleet notched one. Senior Von McKenzie scored the Fleet’s lone goal on a nice pass from Kelly Dalziel.
Pfeiffer had 12 players score on the day with Sarah Daly, Kristi Korn and Ashleigh Kassab each scoring 3 goals each. Daly also assisted on two other goals.
Erskine (3-6, 0-5) hosts Newberry College this Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. Originally scheduled for February 26
th, it was postponed due to heavy rains in the area that rendered the field unplayable.
