Mt. Olive, N.C. – Erskine could not pick up their second win of the season today, falling to #50 Mt. Olive College 7-2 in Conference Carolinas men’s tennis action at the Walker Tennis Center.

Erskine fell behind quickly losing the three doubles matches, but rebounded to win two of the six singles matches.  Sophomore Wilson Mathewes (Greenville, SC, USC-Lancaster) prevailed in marathon match that was decided in three matches at 6-4, 5-7 and 10-7.  Freshman Dean Harris (Benoni, South Africa, Christian Brothers College) also won  at his #3 singles position. 

Erskine travels to Anderson, South Carolina, on Monday to play archrival Anderson University.  Match time is set for 3:00 p.m.
