Box Score Gaffney, S.C. – Playing a day early to avoid the heavy rain expected tomorrow, Erskine lost to #6 Limestone 19 to 5 in Conference Carolinas women’s lacrosse action at Saints Field.
The national powerhouse Limestone was clearly the superior team this afternoon scoring their first of thirteen first half goals in just 25 seconds. Limestone led at halftime 13 to 0.
In the second half, the Fleet found some offense scoring 5 second half goals while surrendering just 6.
Sophomore Samantha Burns led the Fleet with two goals while Sarah Tibbits, Hillary Henry, and Anna Dailey each had a goal.
The Saints had nine players score at least one goal and were led by Chelsea Treat’s 5 goals. Sarah Oor had seven assists and one goal.
Erskine will look to snap their 3-game losing skid next Tuesday against local rival Newberry College. Game time is set for 4:00 p.m.
