Erskine loses last road game 3-1 to NGU

Box Score Tigerville, S.C. – Playing on the road for the last time this season, Erskine lost to North Greenville University 3 to 1 in Conference Carolinas women's soccer action at Pepsi Stadium.

The Crusaders' Lindsay Tuten tallied her first of two goals in the opening period.  In the 33rd minute, Tuten scored off a nice pass from teammate Caroline Baker.

The Crusaders quickly added a second goal in the opening minutes of the second period.  Margaret Montsinger scored her first goal of the season in the 53rd minute.

The Fleet cut the lead in half in the 62nd minute when Haley Meredith (Swansea, SC, Swansea High School) was able to find the back of the net for the first time this season.

With the Fleet pressing offensively, Ansley Dobbs split the Erskine defense with a nice pass that Tuten settled and pushed past Erskine goalkeeper Ashton Burgess for her second goal of the game and her 8th of the year.

Erskine concludes their season this Saturday against Limestone College.  Game time is set for 2:00 p.m.  Prior to the men's game that afternoon, Erskine will recognize the seniors on this year's two soccer teams.
