Due West, SC – Erskine ended their 2011 season with a 22-1 loss to Pfeiffer University.  Erskine finishes the year at 1-15 overall and 1-6 in conference.  Pfeiffer University climbs to 11-5 overall and 6-1 in conference.

Pfeiffer controlled the pace of the game from the outset scoring 15 goals in the first half.  Erskine’s Von McKenzie (Greenville, SC, Woodmont) scored the Fleet’s lone goal on a pass from Lauren Burdick (Greenville, SC, Riverside High School) with 2:19 remaining in the opening period.  Kaitlyn Overley (Columbia, SC, Blythewood) had 9 saves in the goal for the Fleet .

Pfeiffer University was led by Alex Cook with 4 goals and 1 assist while Liz Melesh finished with 2 goals and 2 assists.

Pfeiffer University advances to the conference tournament this weekend as the #2 seed.
