Anderson, SC – Archrival Anderson University defeated the Erskine men’s tennis team 8-1 this afternoon in non-conference men’s tennis action at the Max Grubbs Court.

Erskine earned a win in doubles action when Anderson’s Krystof Gulbinovic and Deni Mahagic had to retire.  Erskine lost at #1 and #3 doubles 8-1 and 8-4 respectively.

In the singles matches, Angelo Ciarrocchi (Port Elizabeth, South Africa, Theodor Herzl High School) forced his match to three sets but lost the third set tie-breaker 10-5.  Erskine lost the remaining five singles matches in straight sets.j

Erskine drops to 1-5 overall and 1-3 in conference.

Erskine travels to Aiken, South Carolina, tomorrow to play USC-Aiken at 2:30 p.m.
