Due West, SC – Erskine swept the singles competition to power its way to a 7-2 win over the visiting Crusaders of North Greenville University in non-conference men’s tennis action.
The Fleet fell behind 2-1 after losing two close doubles matches 9-8 (7-0) and 9-8 (10-8). The Fleet won the third match 8-2. Erskine swept the six singles matches winning all but one match in straight sets. James Hoatson fought back after dropping his first set 3-6 to win the final two sets 6-3 and 6-3 to secure the match victory.
The Fleet improve to 7-11 overall and host Gardner-Webb on Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. The Fleet conclude their regular season schedule on Wednesday as they travel to Pfeiffer University.
