Newberry, SC – Erskine edged Newberry College 5 to 4 on Tuesday in non-conference men’s tennis action.  In doubles play, Erskine just missed pulling a sweep.  Caleb Barnes and Angelo Ciarrocchi lost a tough match 8 to 5 in the #1 doubles position while the Fleet easily prevailed in the other two matches.  Erskine split the singles matches with Caleb Barnes, Fabio Ciarrocchi, and Vincent Chauvette all winning their draws.  With the victory, the Fleet improve to 6-8 overall.  The Fleet are off through the Easter weekend and play archrival Anderson University on Tuesday at 2:30 p.m.
