Hardeeville, SC – Erskine women's lacrosse fell to Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) 20-3 Saturday afternoon for their second loss of the season. So far, the Fleet remain winless (0-2), but will look to change that this week as they begin conference play. The Bees improve to 1-0 after their win over the Fleet after their season opener.
SCAD jumped out to a quick 8-0 lead Saturday afternoon, but the Fleet were able to stop the run with two back-to-back goals from Sarah Tibbets and Lisa Kmonicek. The Bees bounced back into action and scored six more goals to take a 14-2 lead into the half-time break. Erskine was outshot 31-2 in the first period.
The pace slowed during the second period, but the Bees still able to put up 6 goals off 9 shots while Erskine's Jaclyn Glendinning scored the Fleet's only goal of the half. Erskine was outshot during the second period 9-5.
Erskine will take Sunday off, but will return to action Monday afternoon as they travel to Misenheimer, NC to take on Conference Carolinas foe Pfeiffer University. Game-time is set for 3:30 PM.
