Erskine Beats Belmont-Abbey 63 to 57.

Extends win stread to four!

Belmont, NC – The Flying Fleet continued their terrific play by downing Belmont-Abbey 63 to 57 tonight. The Fleet improve to 6-5 overall and 3-3 in Conference Carolinas while the Crusaders drop to 6-6 overall and 2-4 in conference. The Fleet never trailed in the game.
 
On the evening, Erskine shot 49% from the field, including 39% from three point range while Belmont-Abbey hit 40% of their shots, including 33% from behind the arc. The difference in shooting percentages decided the game as both teams were essentially even in rebounds (28 to 30)  and only turned the ball over 9 times a piece.
 
Brandon Wright led all scorers with 24 points as he connected on 7 of 11 three point shots. Marko Latinovic also reached double figures for the Fleet with 13 points. Freshman Chris Gore just missed his first career double-double, scoring 8 points and grabbing a game high 10 rebounds.
 
Erskine extended their win streak to four games.
 
Mount Olive College visits the friendly-confides of Belk Arena this Saturday. Game time is set for 4 p.m.
