Misenheimer, NC – Erskine women’s lacrosse suffered a tough loss at the hands of the Pfeiffer University Falcons Tuesday afternoon 20-1. Senior Jessica Skinner tallied Erskine’s lone goal of the afternoon as the Fleet slipped to 0-14 overall and 0-10 in the conference.
Fifteen Pfeiffer players scored Tuesday afternoon. Sarah Hebberd Heidi Karaszkiewicz , Liz Melesh, Tory Binder, and Kelly McConnell all put up two goals apiece.
Skinner was the only member of the Fleet squad to find the back of the net. She also won three draw controls. Denisa Zani grabbed two ground balls for the Fleet. Kaitlyn Overley had a strong performance in goal for Erskine making 14 saves and picking up one ground ball.
The Fleet were out shot 38-3 and the Falcons picked up 30 of 36 ground balls while also winning 15 of 22 draw controls.
Erskine will hit the road again Thursday afternoon as they travel to Limestone for their final regular season game at 4:00 PM.
